Does inWind WA Helper send WhatsApp messages?

No. inWind WA Helper never sends WhatsApp messages. It prepares text for you to review, and you send from WhatsApp yourself.

No. The extension does not send WhatsApp messages, and it never clicks the send button for you. It reads the single message you select, prepares a result, and stops there.

Translation, image understanding, voice transcription, and three-space draft translation all follow this rule. Every message leaves your account because you send it from WhatsApp.

What the extension does instead

Every action starts with something you select. You open the message menu, choose translation, image understanding, or voice transcription, and the extension reads that one item. The result appears in the side panel or below the message.

The output is text for you to read and edit. It does not open a chat, pick a recipient, or press send. Auto-translate follows the same rule: it adds a reading result and leaves the conversation unchanged.

Why the boundary is explicit

A wrong translation sent automatically is worse than a slow reply. Keeping the send action with the person makes the failure visible before a customer sees it.

The extension does not call WhatsApp private interfaces. It works on the page you have open, and it does not run as a background messaging bot. This is a product boundary, not a setting you can switch off.

Draft write-back still needs you

Three-space draft translation is off by default. When you enable it, typing three spaces at the end of the bottom composer sends the draft text to the text model.

The result is written back as either the translation alone or the original plus the translation, joined by a single line break. The extension does not send it. You review the draft and press send in WhatsApp.

If you edit the draft, switch chats, or change preferences while a request is running, the old result will not overwrite the newer draft. If the page rich-text editor is not ready, the draft stays untouched.

What it never does

The boundary covers more than the send button. These actions are outside the product:

  • No automatic replies or bulk sends.
  • No scheduled messages.
  • No send when a background task finishes.
  • No sending on behalf of another person or account.
  • No reading of contacts, chat lists, or history to find recipients.

Slow tasks and platform limits

Text and image tasks wait up to eight seconds for a result. If the model is slower, the task returns an ID and the client keeps polling. A finished task still only produces text.

Voice translation is asynchronous from start to finish. You can close the side panel while it runs and read the result later. Nothing is delivered to the chat window automatically.

The iPhone shortcut and the Android app follow the same rule: they return a result for you to copy or share. They do not send WhatsApp messages either.

Do it on your device

Web

  1. Open web.whatsapp.com in desktop Chrome 120 or later and open the conversation.
  2. Click the down arrow beside the message, or right-click it, then choose translation, summary, or image understanding.
  3. Read and edit the result in the side panel or below the message.
  4. Keep the text in the WhatsApp composer and press send yourself.

Three-space draft write-back only fills the composer. It never presses send.

iPhone

  1. Open the message in WhatsApp and tap Share.
  2. Choose the inWind shortcut and the action you need.
  3. Review the result on the shortcut result page.
  4. Copy the text into WhatsApp and send it yourself.

The shortcut returns one result at a time and never sends a message.

Android

  1. Open the message in WhatsApp and tap Share.
  2. Select inWind WA Helper and wait for the result card.
  3. Review the translation or reply suggestion.
  4. Copy the final reply back to WhatsApp and send it yourself.

The app does not press send or write into the WhatsApp composer.

Frequently asked questions

Does it ever press the send button?

No. The send button is only used by you inside WhatsApp.

Can a translation be inserted into the chat automatically?

Only into the draft composer when three-space draft translation is enabled. You still press send.

Does auto-translate send anything?

No. It displays a translation below incoming messages and leaves the conversation unchanged.

Do the iPhone shortcut and Android app send messages?

No. They process the item you share and return a result. Sending stays with you.

Can I schedule a message for later?

No. The product does not schedule or queue outgoing messages.

Why not automate replies for speed?

Automatic sending hides translation errors until a customer has already seen them. Review is the point.
