Translate WhatsApp messages without copying and pasting

Translate one WhatsApp Web message from its menu, keep the original beside the translation, and reply with confidence. Nothing is sent automatically.

A customer writes in Spanish. You read English. Copying the message into another tab breaks the conversation and loses the context around it.

inWind WA Helper adds translation to the WhatsApp Web message menu. You choose one message, read the translation next to the original, and decide what to send.

Open the message menu on the message you want to read

Open the chat in WhatsApp Web and find the incoming message. Click the arrow next to the message or right-click it to open the native menu.

The extension adds an entry for that message only. It does not scan the chat, the sidebar, or other conversations.

  • Text messages get translation and summary entries.
  • A single image gets an image-understanding entry.
  • A voice note gets transcription and transcription-plus-translation entries.

Read the translation next to the original

The result appears in a compact card below the message. The original stays where it is, so names, amounts, product codes, and dates remain easy to check.

Auto-translate skips incoming text that is already in its target language. The message menu translates the single message you select when you ask for it. If a saved result exists for the same message and content, the extension reuses that result instead of paying twice.

Choose the right target-language control

The side panel has its own language selector. Use it when you need a specific output language or more context than a compact card.

Automatic translation uses its own target in settings. The three-space draft translation has a separate target. These preferences are independent, so changing one does not move the others.

The message menu is a fast path for one message. For a controlled target language or a longer result, open the side panel.

Review before you reply

Machine translation is a reading aid. Check names, prices, quantities, delivery dates, and anything that could change the deal.

The extension never sends a WhatsApp message for you. When you are ready, write the reply yourself or use the reply assistant in the side panel, review the wording, and send it from WhatsApp.

Do it on your device

Web

  1. Open the WhatsApp Web chat in desktop Chrome 120 or later and find the incoming message.
  2. Click the arrow beside the message, or right-click it, to open the native menu.
  3. Choose Translate to translate that one message, or open the side panel for summary and reply assistant.
  4. Read the translation beside the original, then send your reply from WhatsApp yourself.

The extension does not scan the chat list or other conversations, and it never sends a message for you.

iPhone

  1. Long-press the message in WhatsApp on iPhone, tap Share, then choose the inWind WA Helper shortcut.

  3. Sign in to the official service and complete the one-time shortcut binding when prompted.
  4. Read the result on the shortcut result page, copy the text, and paste it into WhatsApp to send.

  2. Set the interface language and the translation target separately in the app settings.
  3. Wait for the result page, then copy the translation.
  4. Paste the text into the WhatsApp chat and send it yourself.

The Android app has no in-chat menu. It handles one shared message at a time.

Frequently asked questions

Does it translate the whole chat?

No. The message-menu action reads only the message you selected. Auto-translate is a separate opt-in feature and covers only visible incoming messages.

Will it send a reply automatically?

No. The extension prepares text for you to review. Sending always happens in WhatsApp.

Does it work with WhatsApp Business?

It works on WhatsApp Web in Chrome. If your WhatsApp Business account opens the same web app, the message menu is available there too. Verify on your own account before relying on it.
