Can I use inWind WA Helper on Android?

Yes. A native Android app receives one shared text, image, or audio item from WhatsApp. It is not a plug-in and does not read chats.

Android has a native app built with Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose. It receives one item through the system share sheet: a text message, an image, or an audio file.

It is not a WhatsApp plug-in. It does not read the chat, contacts, or history, and it does not send messages.

Share one item from WhatsApp

Open the message you need, choose share, and select inWind WA Helper. The app processes that single item and shows the result.

The workflow is deliberately narrow. There is no batch import and no background reading of conversations.

If you share a long voice note, recognition runs asynchronously. The app shows the task state while it waits.

What the app offers

The app includes translation, a floating result card, local history, and settings. The main areas use a four-tab bottom navigation.

Results can include reply suggestions. History keeps up to 50 text items on the device and can be cleared.

The floating card can collapse, switch between bilingual and translation-only display, and change background transparency. Copying the final reply can jump back to WhatsApp, and that jump can be disabled in settings.

The app is not a replacement for WhatsApp. It opens only when you share an item.

Language settings

Interface language and translation target are separate. You can switch the interface between Chinese and English without changing the target.

The translation target applies to the content you share. Changing the interface language does not change it.

Install and update

Download the Android build from /download/android. The latest release entry redirects to the public release artifact.

In settings, the app checks the public GitHub release repository, downloads an update, and verifies it before installation.

The download entry is the same one linked from the product site, so you do not need a separate build.

Limits

The app is not a WhatsApp plug-in. It cannot read a conversation automatically, translate incoming messages in place, or send a reply for you.

The app does not capture messages in the background. You choose each item through the share sheet.

The Android app accepts OGG/Opus, MP3, WAV, and M4A audio, and rejects other formats.

System share sheets differ by manufacturer and Android version. If an item cannot be shared directly, save it first and share from the file manager.

Each share processes one item; for several messages, repeat the share for each.

Do it on your device

Web

  1. On a computer, open WhatsApp Web in desktop Chrome 120 or later.
  2. Open the side panel from the toolbar icon or the WhatsApp page context menu.
  3. Select a message and run the action there. The extension has no mobile version.

The web route processes only the message you select.

iPhone

  1. Bind the inWind shortcut with a one-time code from the account page.
  2. Share one WhatsApp item to the shortcut.
  3. Copy the result back to WhatsApp.

The shortcut is an alternative on iPhone and also processes one item at a time.

Android

  1. Download the Android build from /download/android and install it.
  2. Open the WhatsApp message, tap Share, and select inWind WA Helper.
  3. Review the result card, then copy the reply back to WhatsApp.
  4. In Settings, switch interface language and translation target separately.

The app is not a plug-in and keeps up to 50 text history items locally.
