Questions and answers
Can I use inWind WA Helper on iPhone?
Yes, through an iOS shortcut. Share one text, image, or audio item, and the official service returns a result. There is no iOS chat plug-in.
There is no iOS chat plug-in that reads WhatsApp conversations. On iPhone, the product works through an iOS shortcut: you share one item from WhatsApp, and the shortcut sends it to the official service for processing.
The shortcut handles one text message, one image, or one audio file at a time. It does not read the chat, the contact list, or earlier messages.
What the shortcut handles
From the WhatsApp share sheet, send a single text, a single image, or a single audio item to the inWind shortcut. The shortcut returns a translation, a transcription, or an image result.
It is a one-item workflow by design. There is no batch mode, no conversation import, and no background reading of the chat.
Because the share sheet passes one item at a time, the shortcut does not need access to your chat list. That is also why it cannot summarize a conversation.
Account and binding
The shortcut uses the official service. You need an account and a one-time binding code generated on a computer.
The code is valid for 15 minutes and can be redeemed once. The shortcut credential can be reconfigured or revoked separately on the account page.
Language setup
On first run, the shortcut asks you to choose the interface language and the translation target. These are separate settings.
The shortcut keeps its Chinese installation name so that the binding link can open it by name. Renaming it can break that link.
What it cannot do
The shortcut is deliberately narrow. These actions are outside the product:
- No reading of chat history or contacts.
- No automatic translation of incoming messages.
- No sending of WhatsApp messages.
- No batch processing of several items.
- No use without an official-service account.
Limits
Audio support follows the service: OGG/Opus, MP3, WAV, and M4A. Other formats are rejected.
Share-sheet behavior depends on iOS and the WhatsApp version. If an item cannot be shared, save it to Files and share from there instead.
The shortcut is not a native chat extension. It cannot show results inline in the conversation, and it does not keep the conversation open.
The shortcut returns text in its own result view. Copy it into WhatsApp yourself; the shortcut does not write into the composer.
